#SHELTER2020

This year we launch our global initiative #SHELTER2020: improvement, development, and supporting shelters for abused animals. This project is like a common architecture competition, but without a jury, deadlines, or entry fees, with just one rule for participation—all this for charity.

1. Who can participate?
Anyone, but first of all architects, designers, and constructors.

2. What should I do?
Contact your local community and authorities. Find out how many shelters (if any) your local area has. Contact their principals and ask how you can improve or help. For example, you can make a plan for space optimization or donate some materials for repair. Our final goal is to create an innovative, universal, eco-friendly, and animal-friendly model of shelter for every kind of environment. Your best proposals will be published on our website.

Blueprint for universal, modular, innovative shelters for animals and drawing attention to the problem of abandoned and abused pets. After visiting the Instagram page of the Soi Dog Foundation, our hearts broke. Human cruelty to animals is a bleeding wound on the face of civilization. As professional architects, we must take part in solving this problem, drawing attention, and ending this age of barbarism. So, #SHELTER2020 would become a global initiative, not only in the architectural field but as a charity foundation.
